Self-healing with Functionize, and AI-powered test automation platform

Functionize is an AI-powered test automation platform lets you create end-to-end functional tests in minutes. It includes a slew of advanced features and capabilities, but the one I want to focus on in this post is self-healing.

Self-healing is a capability used to automatically fix issues in the automated test that arise due to changes in the application's UI or web elements.

Functionize provides the following:

  • Smart Fix that offers recommendations for realistic fixes to broken test cases
  • Self-heal automatically without requiring manual intervention
  • Learning Mode that employs Machine Learning (ML) to adapt to changes

Below is a short video that demonstrates the self-healing capabilities:

This capability, in a limited use case, appears to work quite well, though I can't attest to how it would perform in more complex scenarios. Most competitors in this space offer the same capabilities, but witnessing it first hand would give you an idea of how self-healing in a functional test automation tool works.
