I ran into an error recently where I wasn't able to create a Business Service when developing an Oracle Service Bus (OSB) project in Oracle JDeveloper 12.2.1.3. The error received was this: Failed to generate the business service Can't set the text value,

Getting "Hostname verification failed" in OSB 12c

Problem: When calling a service on Oracle Service Bus (OSB) 12c, I received an SSLKeyException related to hostname verification even though we do not have SSL configured.
